Slide & Digital Shows 2010 / 2011

WILD BRITAIN Slide show.

This is the last slide show I put together before changing to digital, and shows a variety of my pictures from around the British Isles. In it is a mixture of birds, mammals, plants and insects photographs. Pictures resulting from some of my recent photographic projects will also be included in this presentation, giving a very varied mixture of British wildlife and habitats.

AN EVENING OF WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY Slide show.

A presentation of some of my favorite wildlife and landscape pictures of Britain & Ireland. A very varied selection of subjects including a visit to the Burren in Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, as well as locations nearer to home. A mixed package of wildlife pictures and landscapes.

THE FANTASTIC FALKLANDS Digital show.

Wild, windy and wonderful, that's my opinion of the Falkland Islands. I have visited the Falklands 4 times, and in this show I present the cream of my pictures. These islands represent one of the last accessible wildernesses on Earth, and have spectacular birds in huge numbers, as well as Sea Lions and Elephant Seals.

WILD SCOTLAND Digital show.

This new digital presentation shows recent pictures of the marvelous wildlife and countryside of this country. A varied mixture of landscapes and the flora and fauna of four different Scottish Islands, Islay, Skye, North and South Uist in the Hebrides, and The Isle of May in the Firth of Forth.

BRITAIN'S WONDERFULL WILDLIFE  Digital show.

A collection of recent pictures that I have taken of Britain's varied wildlife. Birds, Mammals, Wild Flowers, Butterflies and other Invertebrates, as well as the landscape of our varied countryside.

WILD south WALES   New Digital show.

This is a major upgrade of my previous Welsh slide show. I show a range of wildlife that I have recently photographed on Gower, Kenfig NNR and Skokholm Island nature reserve in south Wales. Many new digital pictures are included in this presentation of rock pool and sand dune wildlife, and of course the birds of Skokholm Island.

THE TRIALS OF LIFE OF BUTTERFLIES Digital show.

This is a detailed look at the Life cycles, predators, diseases, etc. that these beautiful insects are subject to, as well as showing the habitats and different life styles of Britains Butterflies. This is a slide show more suited to Natural History and Conservation groups, rather than Camera Clubs etc.

WILDLIFE HUNTING WITH A CAMERA My latest DIGITAL show.

This is a collection of my latest pictures, starting with the theme Wild about Bedfordshire, my home county. We have some rare flora, and a wide diversity of fauna in this small county. Pictures of wild Otters from Shetland, Seals fighting in the North Sea, as well as  many Birds, including a "Booming" Bittern, Orchids, Butterflies and Dragonflies makes this show my favourite to date.

In 1983 he joined the Royal Photographic Society and in the spring of that year he gained his Associateship with a panel of nature prints. The following spring he was awarded his Fellowship with a submission of butterfly transparencies. Richard is and has been for several years, a member of the RPS Natural History Distinctions Panel.
